Editorial work is one of my favorite types of illustration as I really enjoy the research involved. It poses a prime opportunity to play with style while also exploring innovative ways to express the central concepts behind an article. These last two projects were personal pieces. When Jumbo was the Toast of the Town was a concept I really got into as I love history and trying to recreate the feel of an era within an illustration. The same is true for Rebuilding the Lost World. Being that Illustration is a strong narrative, it is an exciting way of revisiting the past and presenting it with a touch of imagination.
